Pros:
The extra back to front width and the grooves allows you to put a pile of orchestral music on this shelf extender without it falling off, and you can turn pages easily!
Cons:
This one was bought as a back up to the identical shelf extender that I already have as I know from experience that they can snap suddenly (this is why I have given 4 stars rather than 5) Also no good if you have a stand with the wire bits to keep the music on.
