Pros: I can now play my E string on my Stagg EUB, in particular finger 2 is a lot less stressed. The strings have settled really fast (as fast as other strings I have put on my violin).
Cons: Strings are a bit too long and I had to try several different ways to wind them up on the machine heads. As there had to be a lot of windings, the first few hours were spent re-adjusting the tension as the windings started to compact and tighten each other.
Other: Not markedly "weich", so very playable in all the styles that I know (trad Scottish, US and European pop and classical)

Expensive, but worth the money
Pros: Great set of strings: Great sound Surprisingly loud Easy to play Very well made Great tuning stability with little 'bedding in' time
Cons: They are a bit expensive. I'm not sure how long they'll last so it might be worth it in the long run

Good choice for electric upright bass
Pros: I was looking for a set of strings for my electric upright bass, which came fitted with a set of very twangy steel strings (I suspect they were bass guitar strings). The instrument is described as a 3/4 size, but I tried an old set of 3/4 strings and found that the A and D didn’t fit, so I decided to get new 4/4 size strings all round. After reading several reviews I chose Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Weich. I like these very much - they’re very responsive, with a rich creamy sound, even tone across the whole range, huge sustain, and a satisfying growl on the lower strings. Heard several favourable comments from the other band members. As I only use this instrument for jazz pizzicato playing I can’t comment much on the bowed response, except to say it works better than it did before.
Cons: No cons.

Pros: These strings bed in quickly and feel positive under the fingers. On my bass they give a very rich sound when playing pizz and they bow very easily.
Cons: What's not to like!

Pros: Long time electric player transitioning to upright, playing jazz only, and doing best to not reactivate latent tendonitis. Replaced the stock Preludes on my starter bass, so much easier on the hands, and sound great, albeit pizz only.
Cons: None
