Full size, steel core string. The first choice of many professional players. The most popular professional grade cello strings. Big, warm sound with excellent focus and projection.
A and D strings are wound with a special precision rolled stainless steel flat wire. G and C strings are wound with tungsten, providing a deep, warm and focused sound with great power and personality. All four strings are offered in tensions soft, medium and strong.

Pros: I brought this Larsen string set to replace my current other Danish made strings and what a difference! As a student cellist the first thing I notice was the “ringing sound” the Larsen strings made after being bowed which my old strings never had. I found this particularly useful when learning Suzuki bowing techniques. They also brightened up my cello from its warm mellow timbre, giving it a “woodier” sound and making my cello noticeably louder which might not be good if you practice daily at home like me. I found that the strings play-in within 1-2 weeks, in week 2 minimal tuning was required even though my cello sits on a stand in quite a hot/humid room.
Cons: None

Pros: This set replaced my outworn Jargars, and WOW, what a difference! Amazing depth, resonance, responsiveness and evenness across the strings - it's now a joy to let my cello sing in the higher positions, especially the D string which, from fourth + positions had previously been something like a weak whine....But to further illustrate this, let me mention that having a slight hearing impairment, I had used a hearing aid for orchestral playing - I certainly don't need this with the Larsens!...To sum up, these are not cheap strings; but having released the full potential of my modest English cello, they're worth every penny! Excellent service, strings arrived by post the next day.
Cons: No cons.

Pros: Lovely strings, beautifully packaged. Usual excellent service from Stringzone. I had asked about and these immediately DID improve the sound quality from my cello. Very quick to tune in. This was the first time I had put new strings on my cello. She came with a set of Jaeger's which I suspect may have lain dusty for 11yrs, no idea when they were put on before that. The G and D are a massive improvement, C is a bit boomy but a lot lot better. The A string was going well....
Cons: Nothing....but a grim warning..... Never ask an engineer with strong forearms to delicately and gently push and turn a peg prone to slipping....who also doesn't play strings. His response 'Oh well you can put the old one back on and buy another one like that next month'

Pros: Excellent service, arrived earlier than i expected. Great service and i can certainly can no longer blame my incompetent playing on the strings now :) they are amazing!! The difference is very noticeable, well worth spoiling my 'not too expensive' beginners cello, with these high grade of string. Thank you!
Cons: Nothing!
