Excellent!

Pros: Excellent solution no more whistling, and the volume is still there!

Cons: None whatsoever! A great product at a reasonable price.

Other: Delivery on time, nothing to worry if you buy something considerably more expensive.

No noticeable difference

Pros: Err? It was the right length???

Cons: First string sent broke on fitting (excellent next day replacement service from String Zone). However, I don't think the non-whistling e string has made any difference to the sound

Kaplan 'non-singing' violin E string

Pros: Well made, pliable, feels good and it is difficult to make it whistle.

Cons: I just wonder whether fiddling should be this safe.

No other 'E' string works for me.

Pros: The only 'E' string which doesn't set up a high pitched whistling frequency on being approached in a legato slur from the 'A' string.

Cons: The lack of a proper loop end option.

Other: The packet and serial number is not easily differentiated from the ordinary 'E' string. They are so similar that two retailers have recently supplied me with the incorrect ones.
