Description

The electric violin series by Hidersine is an excellent option for students who wish to practise in silence, using headphones. This instrument is provided as an outfit (which includes a quality bow and a rectangular protective case).

Hidersine's electric violins deliver a great sound when amplified or when using headphones, an efficient way to practise without any audible impact on your environment. Using a direct signal into an amplifier also opens up a wide range of experimental sound FX options, which also make the 'HEV1' a great choice for full band musicians.

A contemporary look with a traditional heart; the Hidersine 'HEV1' features a body made of beautiful flamed birch, which helps produce a good resonant tone when amplified. The pegs, fingerboard and chinrest are made of genuine ebony.

Using a ‘Piezo’ pickup located under the maple bridge of the violin, the violin will reliably capture every nuanced detail of your playing style. 2x different outputs are located on the side of the instrument, a 6.35mm large jack (for use with most amplifiers) & a 3.5mm mini-jack (for headphones). On the other side is located the pre-amp, complete with volume, bass & treble EQ knobs. The 9v battery is installed at the back of the instrument.

This instrument benefits from a gold level setup.

This means that the instrument is worked on & improved by the luthier in our workshop before despatch. We adjust the bridge & nut for correct height, curvature & string spacing. Tailpiece and pegs are adjusted for smooth operation. In the case of outfits, the bow is rosined and checked for smooth adjustment.
