Description

Tourte pattern mute with magnetic attachment to tailpiece to prevent rattles. Rare earth magnetic prevents the mute from rattling when not in use.

This mute is very effective but is not recommended for use on tailpieces with more than one fine tuner as the magnetic grip will be much reduced. Can be used on tailpieces with integrated tuners such as Wittner etc.although the mute may slightly impede tuning when held by the magnet..

Specifications

  • Mute stays on the instrument.
  • Rare earth magnet for secure attachment.
  • Made in USA

Excellent mute - no more buzzing or rattling!
1 out of 1 found the following review helpful

Pros: Excellent product which gets round the problem of the traditional tourte-style mute buzzing and rattling on the instrument when not in use. The magnetic mute has eliminated this problem for me, while minimising any dampening effect on the instrument's sound.

Cons: A little pricey

Pros: Brilliant, doesn't squeak or rattle, easy to use and no fear of it falling off!

Cons: Not as cheap as the basic model and only difference is that it includes a magnet.

No more rattling!

Pros: Very easy to attach magnetic clip onto instrument, and fit the mute itself.

Cons: Perhaps the lip of the actual mute itself is a little larger than usual, and taking it off the bridge can sometimes require more effort.

Good product and excellent shop

Pros: Very simple to use. Small and nice.

Cons: Not perfect. Some times the magnetic part remains separated to the rubbishy part.

Other: Anyway it properly works.

No more mute rattles!

Pros: This mute removes the rattling which is usually associated with sliding rubber mutes. It has a crafty magnet which holds it steady. It's easy to put on.

Cons: Make sure that it's attached to the magnet clip when not in use, as it doesn't fit as tightly as the regular Tourte style mute. This is a replacement for the last one, which fell off at a concert venue and was lost. It's a bit pricey for what it is!

This is the mute to buy
0 out of 1 found the following review helpful

Pros: Brilliant mute. It's easy to put on and it doesn't make any noise when putting on, taking off, while in use or while not in use. It gives a very good muted sound, unlike other mutes I have owned over the years. Very pleased with this purchase.

Cons: None whatsoever.
