Professional

very nice e string

Pros: very nice balanced sound on my violin not harsh but powerful and not shirill like a few ive tried.goes nicely with The chromestell A string ive just bought, will be changing the D and G string to obligatos soon, im very very imppressed. i use tonica too but on the viloin im using mostly now theses are way better.string zone service is fantastic great helpful fittting info too, thankyou so much.also i must say ive had superb help from pirastro helping me with my violin setup as its over 100 years old and hasnt been played since 1928 !so great seeing it gradually finding its voice ,had slight problem in that the A string sounded bit queterthan the other strings but using the obligato chromesteel A has solved that problem nicely as i didnt want to move the soundpost no need to now and the E string is great too

Cons: nothining at all great strings

Other: thankyou string zone . it was vitally importanrt with my violin to get the string distance between the nut and bridge correct . i had it at 32.9mm when i changed this to 32.5mm the tone and resonance improvement was unbelivable almost sounded like a different violin. i put a adjustable 35mm bridge on also from string zone to get the string hieght higher as the action was too low with the other temp bridge i had the orginal was 37mm but broken and i felt it didnt need to be that high. i will be making acustom bridge for it in the near future but so much to do to get teh set up right and sounding good which it is now
